I saw a car at Charlotte AutoFair at least 15 years ago and never saw it again. I knew I wasn't making up a memory ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ) but like Keyser Soze, this car went "poof," and it was gone.

Anyway, it perfectly fit in with those "Bad Idea," posts. So I did some Google-Fu and found it. Pics will follow, but I must give a shout to the only person who seems to have gotten pictures of this car. I don't know him, but I want to say, "Thank You!"

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and he has some good shots from car shows — although some are filtered and photoshopped to look "vintage." The photos of this thing came from the Walter Mitty car show at Road Atlanta in 2011.

Now, you will recognize the Lamborghini V12 with ITBs and fuel injection — with its dual distributors and 5 liters of pure Italian madness. I bet you also notice that it's in plain air, with the coolant hose headed toward something that looks like brass. You may also notice the cowl/firewall is sort of flat and narrow, too. That's because it's in this:

It's pure insanity and I love it. Here's the only other shot that I've found of this car. I get a little weak in the knees looking at it.

So, Oppo, I think the builder of this car wins the "Bad Idea," trophy, if only for pure awesomeness.
